Casimir Pulaski, a heroic fighter in the Independence War, mortally wounded in the Battle of Savannah, on  the 11-th October 1779 transferred on board of a ship, died on the 11-th October in his 34th year and was buried at sea. Innumerable monuments, were erected to celebrate his memory persisting in the hearts of the American  people.
